Double Twist

Aubrey wanted a fancy 'do for kindergarten graduation, so this is what we came up with!

To start, I parted her hair from ear to ear and made two small ponies.

Next, I divided the remaining hair in half and secured the top section temporarily.

After watching the video tutorial over at Shaunell's Hair, I attempted a side twist braid. I ended it by anchoring it to one of the small ponies.

Then I took all the hair from the temporary clip and made another side twist braid. With this one I started on the opposite side of her head and ended at the other pony.

Next, I laced it up with ribbon.

Last, I just made some messy buns and added matching bows!

Total time: 25 minutes *This took a little long because I am still learning how to do a twist braid.

All ready for graduation!

Thanks for looking and happy hair doing!

  1. How long did this take to do?

  2. That's cute! Love the bows too.

Glad to see you post, BTW :)!

  3. I love this! Too cute and perfect for the occasion! :)

  4. That is amazing! I absolutely love it.

  5. very cute!!
hope the end of school went well! glad to see a new do!!

  6. Thanks so much for all of your comments! I love reading them! Sheila~ it took about 25 minutes from start to finish. However, I am still learning how to do a side twist braid and am VERY slow at it. If you have perfected the side twist braid, I am guessing this would be a pretty quick 'do!
